RSS- Syrian Focus in Beirut- Ettijahat in association with D-CAF Festival

Ettijahat- Independent Culture, in association with Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival (D-CAF) in Cairo, organise Focus Syria, an international forum in support of contemporary Syrian arts. Focus Syria will be held on April 18th 2016 in Dawar Al Shams Theatre as well as Montaigne Theatre at Institut français du Liban and Zico House in Beirut.

The forum includes a number of consecutive events that are: 
- Presentation session for projects in progress by Syrian artists. The participants include Mayyar Aleksan, Omar Jbaee, Raghad Al Makhlouf and Oussama Halal. (Shams Theatre, 16:00) 
- Launching three publications in association with Mamdouh Adwan Publishing House. The publications are: 
Five Research Papers on Contemporary Syrian Questions. 
Training Guide on Cultural Research 
On Syrian Cultural Work During the Years of Embers. 3 studies from the Cultural Priorities in Syria (Shams Theatre, 17:00) 
- Above Zero performance by Oussama Halal. (Shams Theatre, 19:00) 
- Dance performance Deplacement, by Methqal Al Zughair. (Institut français du Liban, 21:00) 
- Live music show by musician Ary Sarhan and another concert by Tanjaret Daghet music group. (Zico House, 22:30)
