How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?

The trip was great. I met writers, cultural activists, Literary Festivals directors, Literary Foundations Managers, Publishers and Agents during Frankfurt Book Fair (11 to 16 Oct. 2017). I talked to them about the project "Cairo Literature Festival". Many of the people I met could help in several ways, suggested names to come to the next editions of Cairo Literature Festival, offer support to writers to attend the festival, and offer support to the festival. I learned from them a lot, and I think I will use some advises in next edition from "Cairo Literature Festival".

How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?

The exchange, networking and international contacts contribute very positively to the development of the "Cairo Literature Festival" project, because it allow me to get suggested names from the literary scene abroad to come to Cairo Literature Festival, to talk about the possibility of supports could offer to the writers to attend the festival, and to build an international network helping in developing the project (Cairo Literature Festival).

Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?

Yes. By traveling you can exchange experiences and learn from partners, culture activists and other people in the field from abroad, and copy the successful new techniques.
