What was the funding used for ?

Chrysalide is composed of passionate professionals and artists in theatre, literature and arts that invents time and space for meetings between creators and the city of Algiers. Tamteen funding was used to renovate an old abandoned basement located in downtown Algiers to serve as the association's new office.

How did this funding contribution provide sustainability to your organisation and improve the quality of the implementation of your work ?

Thanks to Tamteen fund, we are restoring a space for our organization that has worked for 15 years in the field of culture. The basement has become a real work, archive and exhibition space opened to the public to be informed about the various activities organized: debates, intimate performances: chamber theatre, film, literary cafés. We are also able to provide opportunities for artists who lack space to work improving their working conditions.
