How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?

Doplgenger curated a selection of Serbian experimental videos and gave a lecture at Images Contre Nature Festival in Marseille, organized by P'Silo Association. We have been given Carte Blanche so we presented experimental films we had selected, talked about history of experimental film in Yugoslavia, which was unfamiliar to the audience. This was also an introduction and promotion of our project that lies in the same line. After the screening and the talk many people found it interesting and beneficial and approached us with questions that leaded to the exchange of contacts and projects.

How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?

Our project depends on the exchange of international artists and their work, on sharing and exchanging knowledges and approaches. However it is very hard to find support and fundings for collaboration between the Balkans and the Mediterranean, or the Middle East. It would certainly lead to great exchange if the funds would take into consideration this possibility.

Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?

We have been struggling to develop our initiative, both ideologically and economically. This trip and people we met introduced us with different approaches they employ and at the same time we became aware of new possibilities for collaborating and therefore funding.
