How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?
I took part of a training conducted by Abbi Patrix and Ben Haggarty at La Maison du Conte in Paris. It was my first time to meet and be trained by two professional international storytellers. Despite their cultural and professional differences they work harmonically and inspired us as a group and me as an individual and as a trainer. The workshop enriched my current artistic tools and skills and gave me insights to new approaches and tools, necessary to promote my project.
How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?
I think it will be great to make cultural exchange with the Greek group from Mythos center because we have a lot of cultural elements in common, which makes it easier to communicate and work together. They can help us make our first Palestinian center for storytelling training.
Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?
This training of professional storytellers is of high quality, which we cannot find in our country. The exchange and the contacts that I made, took me from the Arabic storytelling platform, witch I am a significant part of its community, to the “The big boys liege” the international of the storytelling community.
