How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?

This grant supported my trip that was not only a great showcase for my work and myself however a fantastic networking opportunity (list of some of the invaluable contacts made below), a great learning experience (as I had never given a workshop before) and an incredible window to a new culture and audience; which I am sure will reflect in my future work both in terms of content and collaboration.

How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?

As a cinema director, I consider exchange, networking and international contacts in moviemaking as absolutely essential. They are important for every aspect of the work - content, production in a financial sense and literal 'making of' sense, marketing and distribution - and at every stage i.e. development, production, post production and the film's life after it is made.

Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?

Throughout this experience I learned a lot about Lebanon. Lebanon is particularly interesting due to certain cultural parallels - including linguistic links and Phoenician history - which could lead to fertile ground for further co-production and collaboration.
