How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?

The attending of the General Assembly of IATA/AITA helped me to initiate contacts with different theatre organisations, festivals and training institutions. As the Head of the National Performing Arts school, The Malta Drama Centre this has helped me to learn more about various international projects and laid the ground work for the Malta Drama Centre to become the National Coordinator for IATA/AITA in Malta, which so far does not have a national centre joining theatre groups in the country together. Some of the contacts I made are Director Tender Talents Magnet School - Uganda; President Central European Committee of AITA/IATA, Director Satu Kata, Indonesia, Director World's Festival of Children's Theatre Canada, Director Comedrama, Morocco.

Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?

Definitely. I have now built a number of contacts over the years in different countries and learnt about how to manage and promote projects in the cultural sphere. Mobility helps you keep motivation high, open your perspective of understanding and how to do things, and bringing the best people together irrespective of their country of origin.
