How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?

I have been very happy to take part in this presentation of my Miniature's work within the frame of the On Marche Festival. I have met several people institutions from France - Hivernales of Avignon and from Belgium - Charleroi Danse. I have also met several artists from Morocco. This stay in Marrakech was the opportunity to meet new programmers, such as the programmer from Hivernales of Avignon, who invited me for the 2013 edition of his Hivernales festival. Besides, I got closer to the Miniatures Officinae project and we are currently discussing with L'Officina about inviting the project for a presentation in Istanbul and in Bafa, our center in southern Turkey - even though it's incertain since we are striving to find local ressources to make it happens. Our partner l'Officina is currently looking for funding opportunities for this presentation. We are considering inviting some of the Moroccan artists I've met in Marrakech for this presentation event if we can organize it.

How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?

International exchanges and networks are indeed very important for me as an artist, since it definitely broadens my horizons and allows me to place my own work within new perspectives. Besides, it allows to know and experience other contexts and situations, as well as to share know-hows, which is very important for my work as an artist and as a cultural operator with my centre in Bafa. It is a good thing that the artistic and cultural exchanges are getting enhanced within the Mediterranean. It's always difficult due to financial issues, and it's great that funding opportunities such as the Fond Roberto Cimetta Grants can help us building bridges between us.

Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?

I had previously worked in Casablanca in 2010. This experience in Marrakech has been the opportunity to develop my knowledge on the Morrocan dance scene and its local situation. It was also the opportunity to develop my professional network with artists and professionals from Morocco, but also from Europe.
