How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?

I was running the developmental workshop "Reality Performance Workshop and Urban Hypertext" and preparing materials for the multimedia installation/ exhibition "Famagusta: Memory Map" (this part with my colleague Srdjan Kovacevic). The workshop took place from June 8th to 15th and resulted in a public performance on evening of June 15th in the fantastic place of The Dance House Limassol. Both of this projects were providing basis for the performance "Memories of Deep Harbour" planned for next year. The performance was inspired by the tragic events of the August 1974 exodus of Greek Famagustans following the Turkish invasion/liberation. On the other hand, installation/exhibition had intention to attract, besides the general audience, those whose lives have been intertwined with Famagusta and invite them to give their testimonies. The exhibition (under the supervision of my colleague Katarina Pejovic) took place on June 23 and 24 in the wonderful space of the former Cider Factory now run by Mythos Theatre. The workshop and the exhibition were immensely helpful for the overall project involving more then 300 people audience, numerous collaborators, our partners from Omada One/Off and their aides.

How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?

This project is all about people and about sharing experiences which could be then again exchanged and disseminated. This project would not be possible without exchange and networking. First between partners and then with the wider audience.

Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?

Almost since my early age I had opportunity to travel and learn languages and about the cultures first of my neighbor countries and then the world, so I early started appreciating this fantastic exchange of skills and knowledge. Mobility profoundly defined and marked my life and work that its became one of the most important inspiration of my work and creation. Being also a producer of my own works and works of others, mobility introduced me to so many ways of doing, producing, funding opportunities and possibilities of helping others by co-producing works of art, exchanging skills and knowledge, that is all immensely important to me.
