How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?
This trip, helped to promote my work and the work of my company in different senses. Born as a circus company interested in the relation between dance and circus we had the opportunity to present our work for the first time in Croatia and within the frame of a dance festival, which is very important to us because it potentially opens a new circuit for us. In the festival we met other professionals and also the director who is as well the director of the Zagreb Dance company. Talking to them was very enriching and we opened some contact lines to possible collaborations in the future, with the same festival and hopefully and with other Croatian cultural institutions that now can have some near references of our activity.
How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?
With the Zagreb Dance Company , we look to propose some adventures in terms of artistic partnership , that can lead us to collaborate through the organization of workshops to Dancers and also to give birth to new creative work as a branch in the production line of the company. Also in the zone one of our members, is in contact with Slovenian and other Croatian institutions that potentially can be interested in creating net work with us .
Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?
For young companies and starting projects the mobility is an essential part of the grow of a project, we as performers grow well in the fact of performing for different audiences in different countries. It is as well a very important support to create relation between the different cultural agents that are present in all creation projects. opening the possibilities for net working and international collaborations that are vital nowadays.
