How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?

The aim of my stay in Paris was composing and recording a new CD, playing with other musiciens from diffrent cultures in view of composing a new work, visiting exhibition and going to major music festivals in Paris and finally meeting music managers for potential new opportunities. I went to Cité des Arts, a residency for artists from all over the world. I meet a lot of musicians, players and composers, as well as artists form other disciplines like painters and designers who will take a part in my next project/concerts. Exploring this dynamic environnement inspired me to create and produce music. Once back in Palestine, the idea is touring a serie of concerts based on my new album in several cities in my country.

How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?

Every artist should visit another country and learn about other cultures. Its a unique way of learning that we don't get on the Academic school. It improves and creates useful techniques for thinking out of the box.
