How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?

The RCF grant supported a successful field research for me, which gave me the opportunity to explore the local context regarding the themes of one of my current projects (CAMP EUROPE, related to the refugee and migrant crisis), to investigate in situ the local artistic and cultural scene, to get in touch with various Maltese academics, policy-makers, artists and organisations, to visit cultural places and venues, and to localize potential collaborative partners in regard to the realization of two of our international projects (CAMP EUROPE and PROMETHEUS REVISITED). "During my stay in Malta I visited spaces and had meetings with the following organisations: Valletta 2018 European Capital of Culture, Arts Council Malta, Moroccan Community in Malta, Contact Dance Company, Theatre Anon, Unifaun Theatre Productions, Rubberbodies Collective. Regarding foreseen collaborations, we specifically expect a co-operation with Contact Dance Company and with Teatru Manoel in the realization of the international projects CAMP EUROPE and PROMETHEUS REVISITED, respectively.

How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?

ENTROPIA produces various transnational and cross-cultural artistic projects based on field research, examining current socio-political issues and developed through residencies, therefore artistic exchanges, cultural mobility, diversity and networking are our regular model of operation, an essential element of our working ethos and the corner-stones of our artistic vision and endeavors.
