How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?

The mobility grant contributed to the gathering of the members of our newly formed collective in berlin, using out time there to brainstorm and converse in order to allow for our project to evolve organically, which culminated in an event that was held in Silent Green Kulturquartier‎ towards the end of our residency. Beside that, my contribution to the Arsenal Summer School allowed for more discussions about issues related to a different perspective on film archiving and research with a diverse group of scholars and archivists from berlin and other cities.

How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?

the premise of our project is to collaborate in a collective manner between three different individuals, and since they live in different cities, it was essential to meet personally and spend more time thinking about our upcoming project, which is set to continue on after the residency. My contribution to the arsenal summer school allowed me to be in touch with a big group of archivists and film scholars from berlin and other cities, which will hopefully open up space for further exchange and networking.

Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?

this residency allowed for our collective to spend time together to shape the thought process and the blue print for our upcoming collaborations. which found its way in the event we did towards the end of the residency: "A burning Ruh arrives to Berlin, broke and tired. She is consumed with a far away city. Ruh meets Re- who offers to help her. While Ruh was too tired to do anything, Re- was repeating, recovering, reproducing, responding, retreating, reshaping, recreating... One day Re- looked deeply into Ruh’s eyes and said: What you need is a rebirth, and to be reborn you have to go through fire. That’s when Feuer started to walk with them. The three strolled down the city. As they arrived at a graveyard, History appeared before them, smiled, and said: Hello friends, do you know in what kind of place you have landed?"
