How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?

This grant has given me the opportunity to explore new grounds, test the waters & meet with potential partners to introduce in 2018 an intercultural dialogue between Malta & Lebanon through a public event titled Common Park. At the moment, we are currently proceeding with finding corporate sponsors to be able to implement the project at the Fort St Elmo on the 7,8,9th of September 2018.

How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?

The project was received with open arms and common shared visions for the arts & event community; The primary contacts reassured the general interest of participation & the development of the project. When in Malta, a last minute collaboration took place between Das Scharf, Triq Cinemmon, Gallery Marcoux & The funky Monkey. We organized a little cultural gathering connecting Malta to Lebanon through an event titled IWA where we screened Lebanese & Maltese movies and involved the lovely people behind Cafe Society to play some nice fine tunes. Pictures & Videos will follow.

Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?

This experience highlights the importance in believing in own's instinct & persevering in putting collective minds together. It has taught me to remain passionate about potential projects and believe in the power of collaboration.
