How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?

The grant helped me to travel from a country which i didn't know before, and to establish a strong connection with a local artist whom also I didn't know before. This great meeting I think will be useful for both in the future, putting myself in a completly different context has developed my work a lot and I also hope others collaboration with Sue will happen in the future.

How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?

For Italian artist is very difficult to show something abroad, especially when they are not very known. For me to travel to Malta was a big opportunity to create a dialogue, and this especially because the Altofest festival was established in this way: locals and artist together for a long period in the same space. So I discovered how spending time in place and with a new person can change completly the idea of the work and open new perspectives.

Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?

In my residence in the ceramic laboratory, I leraned a lot about clay and the process of the transformation , which I brought after in my performance. I could say it is a beginning of a knowledge which for sure will help me for the next adventures with materials.
