How did this grant contribute to the realization of your project in regard to artistic exchange, local cultural development and/or the promotion of cultural diversity?
The Grant covered my travel to the camp which secured my participation in it. During the camp I met with artists, dancers, researchers, architects, designers, and people who are interested in many forms of freedom of expression. Meeting this diverse group of people in one place is a unique opportunity for artistic exchange, local cultural development and promotion of cultural diversity.
How does exchange, networking and international contacts contribute to the development of your artistic and cultural project?
My main project with limited to media and Journalism for a long time. Recently I started planing to add other disciplines to the project. Exchange, networking and international contacts helps me with knowing different possibilities, technics , and ways of giving my communities more. It does also help with putting me in touch with different people who I can collaborate with in different projects. And its great opportunity for learning too.
Can you elaborate on the learning and knowledge you have gained and shared throughout this experience?
Through being a content developer with ADEF’s team, I learned a lot about how to prepare for a camp that brings many people from different disciplines. How to make themes that people can work around, how to create workshops that fits into the themes and how to create those workshops in ways that make space for everyone to find something interesting. I learned also how to trust and help the participants creating their own workshops to be delivered to their peer participants.
I also learned how to do the tech part of interactive test based stories, and videos. That was a great learning. And I did help transfer that later to the participants with Sanaa and Reham.
