The Sundance Institute Theatre Program is pleased to announce TWO new play development opportunities for theatre artists:

• 2017 MENA Playwrights Residency in Berlin (Spring 2017). MENA Arabic-speaking playwrights, particularly Syrian, who have been based in Europe for five years or less (2011-2016) are encouraged to apply to this text-based residency - Application deadline: November 1, 2016: http://www.sundance.org/programs/theatre-program#berlin

• 2017 Theatre Lab at the Sundance Resort (July 2017). All theatre-makers from the US and Arabic-speaking artists from the Middle East and North Africa are encouraged to apply to the Theatre Lab at the Sundance Resort (MENA artists working in English or French can be considered too) - Application deadline: November 15, 2016: http://www.sundance.org/programs/theatre-program#lab 

The same ideals guide both activities: meaningful, peer-to-peer mentorship free from commercial pressures.
